2012 Summer Residency Program - Call for Entries
Artists and writers who live in New York State (including NYC) are invited to apply for month-long summer residencies. Applications must be postmarked by Saturday, January 14, 2012.
The 2012 categories are:
1) Poetry
2) Creative Non-Fiction
3) Photography (digital or film)
4) Painting / Sculpture / Visual Art
There are four (4) month-long sessions in 2012 that occur between May and September. Five artists are in residence each session: two writers, two visual artists, and one photographer.
Each artist has a private bath and apartment with ample workspace, including large studios for visual artists and a darkroom for photographers working in film. All studios include a balcony or a patio.
Our colony chef serves delicious vegetarian meals on weeknights, and the kitchen is kept stocked with basic supplies so residents may make other meals for themselves.
A $500 stipend is provided to help defray travel costs.
The stunning 200-acre colony is located just a few miles outside of downtown Ithaca in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes Region.
