Wintertime Retreat Available for Artists and Writers
Spend your days working in the quiet and solitude
of the Saltonstall Arts Colony
During the winter months we open the colony to local artists and
former residents who are looking for a work space or respite from the
distractions of daily living. The five apartments/studios are available
for use for the modest fee of $20 a day. Former Saltonstall Residents may come back for an extended stay of up to 30 days.
For the local Ithaca artist, this opportunity provides a quiet and peaceful place to work, especially for those without a dedicated studio space of their own. For the returning Saltonstall Resident, it is an opportunity for retreat. Meals and food are not provided, and artists are responsible for their own laundry.
The available dates are Monday, January 2 through Friday, March 30. Currently, the two visual arts studios have extended availability. If this opportunity interests you, please call or email us for more information. We'd love to see you this winter! And yes, we plow all year long.
