Five artists are in residence each session: two writers, one photographer, and two visual artists. Each artist has a private bath and apartment with ample workspace including large studios for visual artists and a darkroom for photographers. All studios include a balcony or a patio.
Our colony chef serves delicious vegetarian meals on weeknights, and the kitchen is kept stocked with basic supplies so residents may make other meals for themselves.
A $500 stipend is provided to help defray travel costs.
The stunning 200-acre Saltonstall Arts Colony is located just a few miles outside of downtown Ithaca in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes region.
