Zachary Skinner (2016)

Zachary Skinner  is an interdisciplinary artist who works with themes of geo-engineering, humanitarian activism, and explores the nexus of inner strength and creativity.

 

Skinner received his BFA from SUNY New Paltz College and his MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He is currently a Drawing Instructor at SUNY New Paltz College.

 

His sculptural work was recently chosen for an Award of Excellence by the Dave Bown Projects, and showcased in a solo exhibit “Be the Change” at the Ann Felton Multicultural Center in Syracuse, NY. His video work has been reviewed in NictoGlobe Magazine, Netherlands, and included in the 2013 Medrar for Contemporary Art’s 5th Cairo Video Festival Archive in Egypt.

 

He attended the Jentel Artist Residency in Wyoming and the I-Park Artist Residency in Connecticut. Zac currently lives and works in Beacon, NY.
