What does Saltonstall mean to you?
Help us raise $1,000 today!
Today is #GivingTuesday – a day dedicated to giving back to nonprofits by way of a 24-hour fundraising challenge. Have we touched your life? Have you attended an Open House event at the colony or one of our alumni readings in downtown Ithaca? Are you a local teacher who has participated in our Teacher Residencies? Are you a residency alum? Or an artist/writer parent who has been able to sneak in a 3-night stay during our off-season?
A few times a year, we reach out and ask for your help to sustain our vibrant programs. To kick off our year-end fundraising campaign, our goal, before midnight tonight, is to raise $1,000.
Three years ago with your help and charitable support, we eliminated the fee that artists and writers pay to apply for our summer residencies. This past May, we launched a new program: a free, short, six-night residency for artist/writer parents!
We are committed to making accessibility a guiding principle for the Foundation, and each year we try to improve our response to issues of inclusion and equity. In April we’ll break ground on our most significant effort to date: an accessible addition and redesign of the studio building.
This major undertaking will create a fully accessible and adaptable space for every artist and writer that comes to Saltonstall. We are excited to share our plans with you, our community, and hope you’ll help us grow. Every gift makes a difference, no matter the size.
