Annie Jacobs (2012)

anniejacobs_1_1Annie Jacobs writes in an effort to translate her involvement with the world. She has worked as an environmental educator and field researcher throughout the United States and abroad, and with Jewish-Arab coexistence efforts in Israel, the Palestinian Authority, and Jordan. She recently called a kibbutz in the Negev Desert home while working for the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies, and is currently a staff-artist at the Vermont Studio Center where she coordinates the Writing Program.

Her poems, essays, interviews, and drawings have been published in Whole Terrain, the Arava Review, and Gender Across Borders. Annie received her MS in Environmental Writing from Antioch University New England. In her creative endeavors, she is devoted to sharing what she feels lucky to encounter – a few of the wonders of human and non-human nature across the globe.
