Bridget Parris (2001)

bridgetparris1Bridget Parris is a painter, fashion designer, and home product designer. She holds a B.F.A degree from Southern Illinois University, a M.F.A and M.A from Louisiana State University, and a Fashion Design degree from Parson’s School of Fashion.

 

Parris is mainly a designer for tabletop, gift, and home decor products. She has also created artwork for apparel, fashion, accessories, and home textiles. She has been the designer for Anthropologie stores and the Director in Home Textiles at Springs Global. She currently has her own business, Bridget Parris Design and Consulting. She has taught product design and drawing at Parson’s and has also taught courses/workshops at Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, Guggenheim Museum, Museum of Arts and Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology.

 

Parris’ work has been featured in Time Out New York, Oprah’s O Home Magazine, Domino, In-Style Home, Real Simple, and House Beautiful. Her work has been reviewed by the New York Times, Washington Times and the Washington Post. She has also completed two public commissions for the Carnegie Museum of Pittsburh and the Washington D.C. Commission  on the Arts.

 

Parris currently resides in Brooklyn, NY
