Emily Brandt (2013)

emilybrandt_2Emily Brandt edits No, Dear, a poetry journal for New York City writers, and teaches English at The School for International Studies, a public high school in Brooklyn. She earned her MFA from New York University where she was awarded a fellowship to teach Creative Writing to veterans of the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

 

Her poems have appeared in Epiphany, Berkeley Poetry Review, Lyre Lyre, Jellyfish, and in other journals and anthologies. She is working on her first two poetry manuscripts, Swim Up Safe and Air Age. She is from Long Island and lives in Brooklyn with her husband and their orange cat.
