New York Artists Equity annual members invitational opens Wednesday, December 20th from 6-8pm and will feature work by fellows Katya Grokhovsky (’13) and Ilene Sunshine (’14).

The exhibit will be on view from December 20 – January 20, 2018.
Artists in the exhibition include: Audree Anid, Esperanza Cortes, Jaynie Crimmins, Monica Delgado, Katya Grokhovsky, Zac Hacmon, Ariel Mitchell, Judith Mullen, Janice Sloan and Ilene Sunshine.
Jurors: Eileen Jeng, Benjamin Sutton and Dexter Wimberly.

Katya Grokhovsky was born in Ukraine, raised in Australia, and is based in Brooklyn, New York. She is an artist, independent curator, educator and a founding director of Feminist Urgent. Grokhovsky holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a BFA from Victorian College of the Arts, Melbourne University, Australia and a BA (Honors) in Fashion from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia.

Ilene Sunshine lives and works in New York City. She attended Boston University’s School of Fine Arts and graduated with a BFA in Sculpture in 1979.
