Poet Jay Deshpande (’13) was recently featured in Poets & Writers‘ annual list of debut poets. “Fractures in Time: Our Eleventh Annual Look at Debut Poets” can be read here.
Jay was honored for his first collection of poetry, Love the Stranger, published this year by YesYes Books.
We are particularly grateful that Jay mentioned Saltonstall in his interview: “Environmentally, I took great inspiration from a residency at the Saltonstall Arts Colony in upstate New York. A lot of unseen and necessary work happened there in the woods and on the trails.”
