Elisabeth AntonElisabeth Anton was born in New York where she is currently living and writing. She received her BA in Literature from Yale University, and her MBA in Finance from the Wharton Graduate School of Business.

Her honors and awards include residencies from the Tofte Lake Center in MN, and the Art Farm in NE; fellowships from the Norman Mailer Foundation, and the Wesleyan Writer’s Conference; and grants from the Florida Council for the Arts, and the Jerome Foundation.

At Saltonstall, Elisabeth plans to continue working on a trilogy of novels called, The Zanzibar Archipelago. She lived in Zanzibar for over a year to research this multi-period drama told in three timeframes – Colony (1963), Revolution (1964-75), Democracy (2000). Set against the backdrop of Zanzibar’s colonial history, the narrative follows two generations of Zanzibari, British, and American characters that survive the Revolution of 1964.
