One of the most utilized spaces at the colony, this suite is enormous because it was originally designed to be an in-law apartment. Located on the ground level, a sliding glass door and a bank of windows all face south.
A small carpeted bedroom and private bathroom with a tub/shower combo are separated from the working space by a wall with no door. The working space includes two desks, a couch, coffee table, café table, rocking chair, and upholstered reading (staring out the window) chair.
A vinyl-tiled “L” shaped space is mostly empty, although you’ll see our outdoor patio furniture gently stacked against the wall.
Quirks of the space:
We discovered that the sliding glass door is quite drafty, so we’ve sealed it up with insulation for the winter. Please do not try to open it!
The main house does not have a basement, so our two furnaces and the main water pump live across the hallway from this suite. You will notice these normal household sounds, but they shouldn’t be distracting.
