Photographer and video artist Rob Carter (’14) will be exhibiting new work next month that was created at Saltonstall during his residency last summer.
“The Measure of a Vine” opens May 15 at Station Independent Projects in NYC and runs through June 7.
From the exhibition page: “The vigorous growth and graceful movement of the noxious weed Kudzu is visualized in video, photography and drawings which combine scientific methodology devised by Charles Darwin and digital time-lapse technology.”
Close readers of our e-newsletter might remember seeing the image above, which was featured in a newsletter late last summer. It was taken by Rob and shows a Kudzu plant he was growing and filmming in his Saltonstall apartment.
Station Independent Projects is located at 138 Eldridge Street, Suite 2F, NYC. Hours: Thurs-Sun: 12:00 – 6:00 pm and by appointment.
