John Hampshire (2014)

johnhamp copyJohn Hampshire is a Professor of Studio Art at SUNY Adirondack and has had numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally, including most recently a solo show at the ArtReach Gallery in Portland, Oregon . Other past solo exhibitions include “Layers and Labyrinths” at The Show Walls, 1133 Avenue of the Americas, NYC, “Expressive Eccentricities”, State College of Florida, and “Labyrinthine” in The Project Room at the Phoenix Gallery, NYC .


He is the recipient of many honors and awards, including the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creativity, a NYFA fellowship grant, and a Purchase Award from the Hyde Collection.  John lives and maintains his studio in the former Church of the Holy Trinity in Troy, NY with his wife and jazz singer Julia Donnaruma.
