Lin Price (2000)


linprice copyLin Price is a painter whose work is filled with longings, anticipation and struggle. Her abstracted worlds in combination with humans and animals draw upon the obscure line between dreaming and waking life.


Price holds a B.F.A from Ithaca College and a M.F.A from Bard College/Milton Avery Graduate School of Fine Arts. She was a 2009 regional representative in the NYFA MARK program, and has been the recipient of a NYSCA funded CAP Artist Fellowship; Cornell Council on the Arts grant; the Elaine DeKooning Memorial award at Bard College; and a NYFA Strategic Opportunity grant. Price teaches painting and drawing at Ithaca College, Ithaca NY. Her work is in the collections of the Munson-Williams-Proctor Art Institute and numerous private collections.


Solo exhibitions of Price’s work include: Dowd Gallery at SUNY Cortland, Cortland, NY; SUNY Onondaga, Syracuse, NY;  Buffalo Arts Studio, Buffalo NY;  Hartell Gallery/Cornell University; and Houghton Gallery at 171 Cedar Arts, Corning, NY.  Small group exhibitions include: XL Projects, Syracuse, NY; Rackham Gallery, U of M, Ann Arbor, MI;  Munson-Proctor-Williams Art Institute Museum, Utica, NY; H.F.
