Look at these happy teachers from Feb. 2014. We're only 3 hrs and $220 away from our #GivingIsGorges campaign of expanding our local Teachers' Residency program. A link to our fundraiser is in our bio above. We can do it! (Pictured l-r: Matt Soucy, Jon C. Raimon, Shawn Goodman, and Caitlin Chan.)

Winners of the Teachers Residency Announced!

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome the 2018 winners of the Teachers Residency!
Congratulations to all.

In February:

Mary Balfour, speech and language pathologist in the Dryden school district

Abigail Bokaer, kindergarten teacher at Fall Creek Elementary

Jon Raimon, humanities/service learning teacher at LACS

Mihal Ronen, 2nd grade teacher at Fall Creek Elementary

Keith Thompson, social studies teacher at Ithaca High School

In March:

Melissa Enns, social worker at Beverly J. Martin Elementary

Brenda Keeler, art teacher at Dryden and Cassavant Elementary

Naomi Raimon, reading teacher at LACS

Jonathan Shyne, media and woodworking teacher at Ithaca High School

Jessica Stratton, art teacher at Lansing High School

The teachers will be provided with a five-day, four-night retreat with private accommodations, studio space, and hearty, chef-prepared vegetarian dinners. These retreats are modeled after Saltonstall’s summer residency program and provide our local teachers with uninterrupted time and space in which to focus on their own creative endeavors.

Funding for our teachers’ residencies is generously provided by the Fine Arts Booster Group, an affiliate of IPEI — the Ithaca Public Education Initiative.
