Joy Nagy (2010)

joy-nagy copy“My work is an inquiry into the architecture and mechanics of nature. I think this is my way of looking into the randomness of nature’s patterns, and the notion there might be order in a world that feels chaotic. I recognize the fragility of our earth’s ecosystem and our own life cycle. I continue with each piece I create to ask questions and to transmit the information to my viewers in new, inspiring ways.”

Joy Nagy is a photographer, drawer, painter, sculptor and installation artist. Her work focuses on “botanical underdogs” ever since she fell in love with the burdock weed in 2003.
