Kathleen Thum (2005)

kathleen-thum copyKathleen Thum is a painter whose work focuses on the relationship between the man-made and natural worlds. Her work abstracts human physiological and manufacturing systems with the use of forms, lines, and color.

 

Thum received her B.F.A from Maryland Institute College of Art and her M.F.A from Bowling Green State University. She has been a visiting assistant professor at Alfred University and Skidmore College. She is a recipient of the NYFA Mark Program and has exhibited her work throughout the US as well as in various places in Germany.

 

She is currently an Assistant Professor of drawing at Clemson University in South Carolina.
